Login Design My Cluster

Rack builds in three sizes. From a few units to a full rack.

Our rack builds come as a Full Rack, a Half Rack or a Custom Footprint. Each one runs on your own private switching, with a fixed monthly price quoted after a free design session.

Rack builds

Built by the Rack, Sized to Your Workload

Every build combines compute, storage, GPU, network and management roles on your own private switching.

Row of server racks in a datacenter

Full Rack

42U

A complete environment dedicated to your organization: compute, storage, GPU and network nodes on your own switching.

Half Rack

UP TO 21U

A production cluster with room to grow. Ideal for a first hyperconverged deployment or a VMware exit.

Custom Footprint

4U–20U

A few rack units with multiple server roles, such as a three-node HCI cluster plus a firewall and backup node.

Three hyperconverged rack builds.Sized to where you are today.

Full Rack, 42U

A complete environment dedicated to your organization: compute, storage, GPU and network nodes on your own switching.

Half Rack, up to 21U

A production cluster with room to grow. Ideal for a first hyperconverged deployment or a VMware exit.

Custom Footprint, 4U–20U

A few rack units with multiple server roles, such as a three-node HCI cluster plus a firewall and backup node.

Node roles.Mix the roles your workloads need.

HCI node

Compute and storage in every node. The building block of your cluster.

GPU / high compute

Extra processing for AI inference and compute-heavy work, next to the data it uses.

Storage / backup

Capacity for backups and retention, kept on the same private fabric.

Network / security

Firewall and network roles that protect and route traffic for the rack.

One fixed monthly price.Quoted after a free design session.

Every rack build starts with a free design session. We map your workloads, data, growth and compliance needs, then hand you a rack elevation, node roles, network and storage design, and a fixed price.

That price covers the rack as one monthly number, so you can budget for it the same way every month. When you need more capacity, you add nodes, and each node brings processors, memory and disks together.

  • No egress fees
  • No per-request storage charges
  • No surprise tiers
  • Grow one node at a time, with no forklift migration

Choosing a size.Common starting points.

First hyperconverged deployment
Half Rack: a production cluster with room to grow.
VMware exit
Half Rack, migrated to Proxmox VE or Hyper-V, or a cleaner vSphere footprint.
Small high-availability cluster
Custom Footprint: three HCI nodes plus a firewall and backup node.
Whole environment
Full Rack: compute, storage, GPU and network nodes on your own switching.
Your own hardware
Colocation in Chicago, and we can manage it for you.

Questions, answered.

What is the smallest rack build?

A Custom Footprint, starting at 4U. Three nodes is the usual minimum for high availability, often with a backup node and firewall.

Can a rack build grow later?

Yes. Add nodes one at a time, from a custom footprint up to a full rack. Each node adds processors, memory and disks together.

How is a rack build priced?

A fixed monthly price per rack build, quoted after a free design session. No egress fees and no per-request storage charges.

Can I bring my own servers?

Yes, through colocation in Chicago. We can also manage the hardware for you.
