Login Design My Cluster

Private cloud connections.Your cluster to the cloud, off the internet.

Private cloud connections link your single-tenant cluster to AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute or Google Cloud Interconnect. Traffic between your rack and your cloud accounts stays off the public internet, with options confirmed during design.

A private path to the clouds you use.Built into the design, not bolted on later.

Private cloud connections carry traffic between your cluster and a public cloud over a dedicated link instead of the open internet. Your applications on the cluster can call cloud services, and cloud workloads can reach data on your cluster, on a path that is not shared with general internet traffic.

Because the path is private, latency and throughput stay more consistent than over the internet. That matters for replication jobs, database calls and any service that talks back and forth all day.

  • Connected to your cluster's own private switching

Why teams go private.Three practical reasons.

Off the public internet

Traffic between your rack and your cloud accounts does not cross the open internet.

Consistent performance

A dedicated path gives steadier latency and throughput than internet routing, which changes from hour to hour.

Lower transfer charges

Cloud providers usually charge less for data leaving their cloud over a private connection than over the internet.

How a connection gets set up.Confirmed per provider and metro.

  1. ConsultWe list which clouds you use, what moves between them and your cluster, and how much.
  2. Confirm optionsWe confirm which private connection options are available for each provider and metro during design.
  3. DesignYou get the network design and a fixed monthly price for the rack before anything is built.
  4. OperateOur U.S.-based engineers monitor the cluster side 24/7/365 and answer the phone when you call.

What travels over the link. The everyday traffic of a hybrid setup.

Once the link is in place, it carries the work that ties your cluster and your cloud accounts together. Replication and backup copies move across it. Migration waves use it to move data without competing with internet traffic. Applications on the cluster call cloud services through it, and cloud workloads read data that stays on your single-tenant hardware.

On the cluster side, the connection lands on your own private switching, not a shared network, and it is covered by the same 24/7/365 U.S. support as the rest of your rack.

Questions, answered.

Which cloud providers can you connect to?

We build private connections to AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute and Google Cloud Interconnect.

Is a private connection available in every location?

Options vary by provider and metro, so we confirm what is available for your clusters during the design session.

Will a private connection lower my cloud bill?

Providers usually charge less for data leaving their cloud over a private connection than over the internet. On the Infraclusters side, there are no egress fees.

Can I connect to more than one cloud?

Yes. The design can include connections to more than one provider, confirmed per provider and metro.
