Login Design My Cluster

Purpose-built clusters.Custom-engineered around the workloads you run.

Infraclusters designs, builds and operates purpose-built clusters sized to what you run. Your applications sit right next to their data on your own private switching, and you grow one node at a time.

Purpose-built Custom-engineered Clusters

Public cloud splits compute from storage and bills you every time data moves between them. A hyperconverged rack keeps both in the same machines, on hardware that is only yours.

  • Lower latency

Applications read from disks on the same private switching fabric, not across a provider’s network.

  • Predictable cost

One monthly price for the rack. No egress fees, no per-request storage charges, no surprise tiers.

  • Data under your control

Single-tenant hardware, private VLANs and a known physical location for compliance and audits.

  • Grow one node at a time

Each node adds processors, memory and disks together. No new storage array, no forklift migration.

  • Self-healing storage

Ceph keeps copies of every block on different nodes and rebuilds them on its own after a failure.

  • One team to call

U.S. engineers run the hardware, hypervisor and storage around the clock, every day of the year.

What purpose-built means.Engineered for you, not picked from a menu.

A purpose-built cluster starts with your workloads, data, growth and compliance needs, not a catalog of instance sizes. We map them in a free design session, then engineer a rack elevation, node roles, network and storage design around them, with a fixed monthly price.

Every cluster is hyperconverged. Each node brings processors, memory and disks together, and storage is pooled across the nodes. It all runs on single-tenant hardware, so nothing in your rack is shared with another customer.

  • Sized from a few rack units to a full rack
  • Three nodes is the usual minimum for high availability
  • Your choice of Proxmox VE, VMware vSAN or Hyper-V
  • Built, benchmarked and run by one U.S.-based team

Inside the rack, bottom to top.Seven layers on one private fabric.

1. Power shelf, B feed
The second power feed. If the primary feed drops, power fails over here.
2. Storage nodes
HDD, SSD and NVMe tiers, pooled by Ceph into one storage system.
3. Compute nodes
CPU and memory for your virtual machines.
4. Hyperconverged nodes
Compute and storage in every node, so each one adds both.
5. Power shelf, A feed
Primary power for every node in the rack.
6. Out-of-band management
Remote console and power control on a separate management network.
7. Top-of-rack switches
25/100 GbE links to every node, on your own private switching.

Why the design pays off.Built to keep running.

Self-healing storage

Ceph keeps three copies of every block on different nodes and rebuilds them on its own after a failure.

Grow node by node

Each node adds processors, memory and disks together. No new storage array, no forklift migration.

Dual power feeds

A and B power shelves in every rack, so power fails over to the second feed.

One team to call

The people who built your cluster answer the phone, 24/7/365, by ticket and phone.

Questions, answered.

What is a purpose-built cluster?

A single-tenant hyperconverged cluster designed around your workloads after a free design session. You get a rack elevation, node roles, network and storage design, and a fixed monthly price.

Why keep storage in the same rack as compute?

Applications read from disks on the same private switching fabric instead of across a provider's network. That keeps latency low and avoids per-request storage charges.

What happens if a node fails?

Ceph keeps three copies of every block on different nodes and rebuilds the missing copies on its own. Our U.S.-based engineers handle the hardware replacement.

Can I use my own hardware?

Yes. You can bring your own hardware through colocation in Chicago, and we can also manage it.

Talk to the engineers who will build it.

Tell us what you run today and where you’re headed. We’ll come back with a design and a fixed monthly price.
