Login Design My Cluster

Single-tenant infrastructure, always.Your rack, your switching, your data.

Every Infraclusters cluster is single-tenant infrastructure: no other customer shares your nodes, disks or switches. Performance stays consistent, private VLANs keep traffic separate and your audit story stays simple.

What single-tenant means here.Nothing shared, from the switch down.

In a single-tenant cluster, every component in your build belongs to you. Your compute, storage and hyperconverged nodes sit on your own top-of-rack switches, with 25/100 GbE links to every node. Private VLANs separate your traffic, and out-of-band management runs on its own network.

That is different from shared cloud, where your virtual machines run beside other customers' workloads on the same hosts, disks and network. It holds at every size, from a custom footprint of a few rack units to a full 42U rack with compute, storage, GPU and network nodes.

  • No other customer on your nodes, disks or switches
  • Dedicated top-of-rack switching with private VLANs
  • Out-of-band management on a separate network
  • A known location: Chicago, Ashburn, Los Angeles or your colocation facility

Consistent performance.No noisy neighbors.

When hardware is shared, another tenant's busy hour can become your slow hour. On a single-tenant cluster, the processors, memory, disks and switch ports are all yours, so the only load on them is your load.

Your applications read from disks on the same private switching fabric, not across a provider's network. Ceph keeps three copies of every block on different nodes and rebuilds them on its own after a failure, all inside your rack.

Simpler audits.Show exactly where your data lives.

Auditors ask where data is stored, who can reach it and what it shares. With single-tenant hardware, you can name the location, point to the rack and show that no other customer is on your nodes, disks or switches.

Management access runs over a separate out-of-band network, staffed by U.S.-based engineers. Immutable backups cannot be changed or deleted once written. Together, these controls are designed to support HIPAA and PCI requirements.

Questions, answered.

Is a single-tenant cluster the same as a dedicated server?

No. A dedicated server is one machine. A single-tenant cluster is a full environment of multiple nodes, pooled storage and your own switching, all dedicated to you.

Do I share network equipment with other customers?

No. Every build runs on your own private switching, with private VLANs for your traffic.

Does single-tenant hardware make my environment compliant?

Single-tenant hardware, private networking and a known location are designed to support requirements like HIPAA and PCI. How you run your applications matters too, and we can walk through it during design.
